For families who need all the space they can get, the Toyota Highlander might be key to your sanity. This three-row SUV offers the power, comfort and security that Burlington drivers need from their vehicle. Performance
With the Toyota Highlander, Essex Junction drivers can look forward to a standard 3.5-liter V6 engine generating up to 295 horsepower and 263 pound-feet of torque. With this power at your fingertips, you can tow up to 5,000 pounds behind this Toyota SUV.
Alternatively, you might decide to pick up a hybrid Highlander. This powertrain uses a 2.5-liter engine paired with an electric motor to generate a combined 243 horsepower. While you'll have a little bit less power, you'll definitely appreciate the fuel economy with this powertrain. According to EPA estimates, you can expect to drive up to 36 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway, so you'll be stopping at the gas station far less often.
Interior
A three-zone automatic climate control is standard, which is perfect for keeping you warm during Burlington winters. Combine this with the available heated front seats and heated second-row seats, and you'll be sure to stay nice and toasty throughout your drive. Of course, you can also pick up ventilated front seats on higher trims to help you stay cool in the summer as well.
This three-row SUV can carry seven or eight passengers depending on if you choose captain's chairs or bench seating for the second row. Every row has at least 3 feet of head room, and you can look forward to up to 141.3 cubic feet of passenger volume in total. You'll have 16.0 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row, and you can bring that up to 48.4 or 84.3 cubic feet of space by folding down the third- and second-row seating respectively.
Technology
It's easy to stay entertained on long trips out of South Burlington thanks to the 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system aboard this new SUV. It has Android Auto™, Apple CarPlay® and Amazon Alexa integration, making it easy to connect to your phone and control smart home devices. Higher trims even add a premium 11-speaker JBL® audio system and upgrade to a 12.3-inch touchscreen display.
No matter which trim you choose, you'll have a Multi-Information Display (MID), which can display information like average fuel economy, telephone information and cruising range. On the base trim, this display is 4.2 inches, but higher trims upgrade the MID to a 7-inch display.
You can also pick up a 10-inch color Head-Up Display on the highest trims. Not only does this display your current speed, but it also hooks in with the available integrated navigation system and Road Sign Assist to provide Colchester drivers with turn-by-turn directions and relevant road signs at a glance.
Safety
Thanks to Toyota Safety Sense™ 2.5+, you can rest easy in the new 2022 Highlander. This suite of driver-assist technology includes things like Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, which can help you avoid frontal collisions, and Road Sign Assist, which looks out for important road signs and displays them on your MID.
