Handy Toyota - March
2011 Employee Spotlight of the Month
For
this month's employee spotlight, we're going to take a look at one of
the nicest guys to grace our St. Albans Toyota dealership's facility in a
long time, Mr. Dan Oriesko.
Dan was born in Virginia, but don't
think if you meet him you'll ever hear any southern twang!
Just after his birth, Dan moved to Vermont and has remained here ever
since.
Dan's favorite pastimes include all forms of outdoor
activities: snowmobiling in the snow, swimming and fishing at
Lake Champlain in the summer, and everything between. In his
words: "I love it here. Every season, the very fact
that the seasons change; it's all great!" Dan also enjoys
four-wheeling, jet skiing, and basically traveling at a high rate of
speed on any automotive craft there is.
When I asked Dan
what his dream vehicle was and what he was most like in our current or
past Toyota stable, his answer was that of someone that recently found
the first half of this question. "Well as you know when I
started here I purchased that Subaru WRX STI; that is
my dream
car. I love it. It's great in winter, wicked fun in
the summer, and in between. Well, it's just a blast to
drive. And I bought it courtesy of handycars!" he laughed.
Regarding which
Toyota vehicle he's most like, Dan's argument was perhaps the most
amusing in my time doing employee interviews. "I'd have to say
the 2012 Toyota Corolla Sport, five-speed." I looked at him,
puzzled, and told him the 2012 wasn't quite out and the 2011 had only
just been released days earlier. Dan smirked at me and
said "you heard me!" and laughed again, "that's right. I'm a
year ahead of the curve!" I thought this was a more than ample
explanation, and on we went with the interview.
Finally, Dan's
passion for vehicles really runs deep. When he's not at Handy
Toyota working on our customers' service needs, he's tinkering on his
Subaru, four-wheeler, or jet ski, or some other motor craft of which
he's fond. He also states that a personal goal of his is to
earn his Master Technicians degree from Toyota University, at which
point he'll not only be one of the prime technicians in our facility but
personally fulfilled.

Oriesko.
