Toyota earns Consumer Reports Honor Roll's top spot

Bolstered by two segment wins in the annual Consumer Reports Top Picks survey, Toyota was the mainstream valedictorian according to CR's 2013 Car Brand Report Cards.  Buy Here Pay Here Car Lots In Indianapolis said that while Toyota didn't quite achieve the highest rating overall, it was just five points behind the brand that did-which was none other than Toyota's lux division, Lexus.

Toyota continues to dominate sales charts

Toyota Motor Corp. (7203), the world's largest automaker for the past several years, has once again fought off all odds and sold the most cars in the world for the first fiscal quarter of 2012.  Toyota sales rose 18 percent to 2.49 million in the quarter allowing Toyota to retain the "world's largest automaker" title again, surpassing domestic brands.

England tests the Toyota Yaris Hybrid

A few months back, Handy Toyota's blogging staff and the Handy Channel on YouTube broke the news of a new idea and new model in the Toyota hybrid and Hybrid Synergy Drive worlds, and many of you eco-friendly fanatics out there were riled up... and rightfully so.  A Toyota Yaris Hybrid, similarly to the upcoming Prius c, would mean something huge for Toyota:  combining the fuel efficiency of the Hybrid Synergy Drive engine with the small stature and gas-sipping makeup that is the Toyota Yaris.  To me, the Yaris Hybrid sounds like a solid win.
