Video gamers rejoice - well at least if you live in Japan, speak Japanese, or plan to learn and order an overseas copy of an upcoming Nintendo 3DS game that will work in conjunction with Toyota's high end navigation systems.

For those that aren't into the video game scene, Nintendo - a name that surely rings a bell to anyone who watches even a little television - has released a new handheld or portable gaming device…

In 2011, Toyota initiated what you certainly remember as the "100 Cars for Good" initiative, a charitable effort to assist 100 out of hundreds of non-profit organizations around the United States get the mobility they so desperately needed and deserved.  Based on the Toyota Motors USA Facebook page and the 100CarsForGood.com website, users across the country could specify who they thought was most deserving of a new car and the winners were given their…

Toyota continues to dominate sales charts

Toyota Motor Corp. (7203), the world's largest automaker for the past several years, has once again fought off all odds and sold the most cars in the world for the first fiscal quarter of 2012.  Toyota sales rose 18 percent to 2.49 million in the quarter allowing Toyota to retain the "world's largest automaker" title again, surpassing domestic brands.

As Jim Wiseman, Toyota's North American vice president of external affairs, explains…

Late last week Toyota and Discovery Education announced the winners of this year's Safe Drivers' Challenge, awarding $40,000 to promote the importance of safety in teen driving across the country.

Handy Toyota Earns 2011 Toyota President's Award

St. Albans, VT - Handy Toyota, a new and used Toyota dealership in St. Albans, VT, serving the Franklin, Lamoille, and Chittenden Counties since 1952, earned their seventh consecutive Toyota President's Award this past week.

Beginning in 2005, Handy Toyota entered the highest ranks of Toyota dealerships across the United States with their first award in this seven-year stretch.  The Toyota President's Award is given by Toyota Motors USA...

What would you - the recent or soon-to-be college graduate - think of an addendum to the already impressive offer which includes up to $1,000 off MSRP towards a select new 2012 Toyota vehicle?  I don't know about you, but "depends on what that addendum is" would be my cynical first impression, so if you're like me be ready to be floored.

Thanks to the large amount of 2011 college graduates who used their?

Toyota announced plans after its unveiling of the 2013 Toyota Avalon at the New York Auto Show that they would be adding up to 150 engineering jobs at their Ann Arbor and Saline, Detroit plants.  This news comes after Toyota announced that the 2013 Avalon will be both designed and produced predominantly in the United States, including a large proportion of domestic auto parts for the full sized luxury sedan, estimated by some to be comprised of up to 85 percent American-made car parts.

Truth be told, the Avalon isn't in the best of shape.  It's a nice full sized sedan, that much is certain, featuring a 3.5L V6 engine, front or all-wheel drive powertrains, and all the creature comforts a driver could ask for including plush leather, power seats; windows; locks; and more, a tap-shift transmission, and so on.  But it's always been viewed as what it was originally:  a high level Camry, even…

Months and months ago, Handy Toyota, courtesy of several online news sources, broke the news that Toyota was opening a dedicated Toyota Corolla plant in good ol' Blue Springs, Mississippi, bringing countless American jobs to the table as Toyota's employees filled the promise of up to 150,000 Toyota Corolla units leaving the doors a year.  And then we - meaning both we in Vermont and, in many instances to a greater degree, our brethren…

When it comes to the full sized truck and sport utility vehicle market, one thing is abundantly clear:  the Toyota Tundra 4WD Truck and Toyota FJ Cruiser SUV rule their respective fields.  The Tundra's available 5.7-liter V8 engine with VVTi (variable valve timing with intelligence) makes the horsepower, torque, payload, and towing champion of the last half a decade, while the emergence of the Toyota FJ Cruiser with its short, squat stature, solid frame, 4.0-liter V6 engine, and trail-ready mentality have made it a favorite for off-roaders, legendary Toyota FJ fans, and general SUV lovers alike.

But something unique is rearing its ugly beautiful head at Handy Toyota of St. Albans, VT, a new Toyota vehicle and used car dealer, serving Burlington, VT:  the Toyota Racing Development or TRD Performance Big Brake Kit.  Featuring unrivaled braking power, a red epoxy paint-covered and TRD graphic-laden caliper, a slotted rotor, and unheard of resistance to heat, wear and tear, and force, the TRD Big Brake Kit, available on the Toyota FJ Cruiser, Toyota FJ Cruiser Trail Teams Edition, Toyota Tundra Limited and Toyota Tundra Platinum to name a few, is what off-road drivers have dreamed about for years.
