Toyota enhances the Tacoma T|X Pro, again

In 2011, Toyota revamped the Tacoma namesake with a new name:  the Tacoma T|X Pro.  Quickly becoming a fan favorite of Toyota truck, Tacoma, and truck fans alike, the Tacoma T|X Pro turned previous Tacoma's on their collective heads adding in TRD components like rock-crawling BFGoodrich Rugged Trail-wrapped TRD alloys, off road capable undercarriage support, and TRD graphics to name a few.

But for 2012 it's not the Tacoma that gets…

So... you're looking to buy a new car or lease a Toyota, but you don't want to pay full price.  What do you do?  Do you cave into the pressures of a new 2012 Toyota vehicle?  That's one way to go, and a way we assure you will leave you satisfied, but for deep discounts - Handy's discounts, if you will - the only way to go is with a brand new late…

As anyone reading this blog knows all too well, fuel isn't going to concede to your wallet's cries of anguish.  Unfortunately the price is very likely to hit $5 per gallon (or beyond), and as such it's time for you to start thinking about a more fuel efficient car - and we've got a new Prius model here that you might be interested in:  the Prius c compact hybrid.  But you also…

I thought this post I found on CNET.com, everything-review authority on the Internet, would give you some insight into just how well the 2012 Toyota Camry XLE is doing. Please note, the gentleman from CNET.com who reviewed this car, Antuan Goodwin, makes it very clear: "blech, Hybrids! They're the worst" he has said many times before.

Take a look at what he thinks of the redesigned, 200HP Camry Hybrid XLE.

Even with the catastrophic earthquake and ensuing tsunami Japan had to endure in the early half of 2011, Toyota Motors - whose factories and car parts supply chains were as ravaged as any other industry or part of the country - was able to come through the calendar year with some strong winning models in terms of overall sales figures.  The 2011 Sienna was America's best selling minivan with 111,429 units sold, where the Toyota Tacoma earned the best selling small pickup sales segment with over 110,700 units sold, and the world's best hybrid vehicle, the Prius, sold over 136,000 units.

But the real winners?  Toyota's Corolla and Camry sedans, winners of the world's best selling and America's best selling vehicle overall respectively.  Learn more about the excellent year these two flagship Toyota vehicles had by clicking the Read More button or subscribe today.

Will the 2012 Prius Plug-in make waves in the same regard as the original Prius?  If pre-orders and fan hype are any indication, Toyota Motors USA's Bob Carter, group vice president of sales, says absolutely.  And with a current EPA estimated 95 miles per gallon combined (gasoline plus a fully charged battery) and a final fuel economy score coming in weeks, Prius Plug-in fanfare is at an all time high.

Better yet, the Toyota Prius Plug-in isn't the only vehicle Toyota is unleashing with the hopes of dominating the market for another decade:  the 2012 Prius IV, e.g. the 4th generation Prius hybrid, just released to stellar reviews, the 2012 Prius v is seeing positive acceptance from critics and owners alike, and the compact Prius c is getting city-dwellers and fans of 55+ mpg lovers something to ponder.

If you had to sum up what the Toyota Camry lineup stands for terms like best selling, reliable, and volume come to mind, but if you need to keep the summary in a neat, little package only one word will suffice:  safety.

Throughout its illustrious history circa 1984 the Toyota Camry has stood for safety in a way that few competitors have managed.  For 2012 the sheet metal was redesigned, the interior finagled and enhanced, and the Camry was given a new birth of sorts as a sportier, more attractive, and ultimately better selling car - and the issue of safety didn't go untouched.  From the well known STAR Safety System to a backup camera (integrated into the Entune's LCD touchscreen) and blind-spot censors, the all new 2012 Toyota Camry is nothing if not redesigned and safer than ever, leading to another 5-star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

2011 Toyota Land Cruiser in St. Albans, VT

This week, Handy Toyota, a new Toyota and used car dealership in St. Albans, VT, received one of the rarest Toyota vehicles around:  a new 2011 Toyota Land Cruiser.

In today's blog, check out some details on why the Land Cruiser is in fact so unique and hard to come by, including a few reasons why you'll probably love it.  If you're already well aware of why the Land Cruiser is such a majestic SUV, check out the details page or email a sales team member.

2012 Toyota 4Runner Limited test drive

The Toyota 4Runner is nothing short of a legend.  From its humble beginnings as the world's first "sport-utility vehicle," to the explosion of would-be copies the world has seen from every automaker under the sun, one fact remains:  the Toyota 4Runner is the king of the SUV world.  And if the 4Runner is king, the 2012 Toyota 4Runner Limited is the king of kings.

Handy Toyota of 39 South Main Street in St. Albans, VT recently scooped up a new 2012 Toyota 4Runner LTD featuring deep, jet black paint, chrome accents, step rails, alloy wheels, tan leather insides, and a varitable bevy of gadgets like an LCD, voice-activated touchscreen, navigation, and so much more.  Without any fuss (and a lot of excitement), eTeam member Brian Leedy took the 4Runner Limited for a test:  testing its meddle, testing its toys, and, perhaps most of all, testing the TRAC, VSC, ABS, and 4WD components that make the 4Runner not only trail-ready but safe.

When it comes to the full sized truck and sport utility vehicle market, one thing is abundantly clear:  the Toyota Tundra 4WD Truck and Toyota FJ Cruiser SUV rule their respective fields.  The Tundra's available 5.7-liter V8 engine with VVTi (variable valve timing with intelligence) makes the horsepower, torque, payload, and towing champion of the last half a decade, while the emergence of the Toyota FJ Cruiser with its short, squat stature, solid frame, 4.0-liter V6 engine, and trail-ready mentality have made it a favorite for off-roaders, legendary Toyota FJ fans, and general SUV lovers alike.

But something unique is rearing its ugly beautiful head at Handy Toyota of St. Albans, VT, a new Toyota vehicle and used car dealer, serving Burlington, VT:  the Toyota Racing Development or TRD Performance Big Brake Kit.  Featuring unrivaled braking power, a red epoxy paint-covered and TRD graphic-laden caliper, a slotted rotor, and unheard of resistance to heat, wear and tear, and force, the TRD Big Brake Kit, available on the Toyota FJ Cruiser, Toyota FJ Cruiser Trail Teams Edition, Toyota Tundra Limited and Toyota Tundra Platinum to name a few, is what off-road drivers have dreamed about for years.
