About the Handy Toyota blog

Handy Toyota of St. Albans, VT, a new and used Toyota vehicle; certified Toyota service; and genuine Toyota auto parts, was Vermont's first official Toyota dealership in Vermont in 1971 and the first automotive dealership in the entire United States to use Cow Power electricity, a 100 percent renewable, eco-friendly power source that allows us to be a green dealership, e.g. a business that cares about our home state of Vermont and the land, air, and water around us.

The Handy Toyota blog is maintained to bring you, our customers, friends, and website visitors, the most up to date news on all things Toyota, cars and trucks, community events, Vermont happenings, and so much more.  Updated several times a week, our articles generally fall in one of the following categories:

  1. Toyota, vehicle news, vehicle reviews, new inventory, pre-owned inventory, vehicle ratings, Toyota Vermont, and car shopping
One of our most used category sets, these topics generally revolve around - as you'd guess - new and used Toyota vehicles, automotive technology (including full model news, reviews, and previews, technology like Toyota's Entune infotainment system or JBL's GreenEdge audio system, recently released vehicles new and used or new arrivals, safety news; information; and recall statuses, industry news and reviews of vehicles and the Toyota brand as well as other various topics.
  2. Green, hybrid, and electric vehicles (or EVs)
Though the previous set of topics are the most widely used, since the advent of the Prius, the introduction of the four-car Prius family in the Prius 5, the Prius c, the Prius v, and the Prius Plug-in, the green/hybrid/EV category has become a close number two.  Featuring news on Toyota's award-winning and record setting Hybrid Synergy Drive platform, alternative energy like electric-powered vehicles, news on new or revamped models like the Prius v or Prius c and upcoming RAV4 EV, eco-friendly patrons and technology buffs will love this section.
  3. Community events, news, employee news, Handy Toyota, and local
As mentioned, Handy Toyota of St. Albans, VT has long been a dedicated member of the St. Albans and Burlington or Franklin, Chittenden, and Lamoille counties.  In fact, in 2010 we at Handy Toyota were issued awards by both the Franklin County Regional Chamber of Commerce and the CVPS Cow Power program as the 2009 Business of the Year and (the fifth place recipient out of ten) 2009 Cow Power Award, respectively.  These topics are all about our involvment with the community from events, sponsorships, employee news, and even employee spotlights which highlight our staff's down time.
  4. Finance, servivce, body shop, parts, and rental
Though fairly self explanatory, these topics are generally about the non-sales stuff our store does for our VT Toyota customers.  From service and parts news and specials to updates and additions to our superb Toyota Rent a Car lineup, if the blog is about anything that couples Handy Toyota and not in a previous section, chances are you'll find it here.
  5. Technology
We saved this description for the end because quite frankly it's as broad as can be.  From new hybrid vehicles to updated all-wheel drive platforms on the new 2013 Avalon that's soon to release to new video game consoles and iPhone or Android applications, the technology category is set aside for just that:  anything tech-related.  As a fan of anything that bleeps, bloops, beeps, and whirs, you can find a lot of interesting electronics news here - whether it's related to Handy Toyota, Toyota vehicles, used cars, service and parts, or not.

So as you see, the Handy Toyota blog is chock full of some of the best, most well-rounded information and news you can find on the web pertianing to Toyota.  We use a variety of news sources, as well, from Toyota.com to Forbes, AOL Autos to Edmunds.com, employee hearsay and training procedures or presentations to actual press releases, and so much more.  In other words the Handy Toyota blog is a quick way to gain insight into all things Toyota.

Great post.  I had such a hard time finding Subaru genuine parts for my husband's car, but I finally got them.  I have a Scion that just broke down and now I am looking to buy a new car.  I know my next car is going to be a Toyota I just don't know exactly what car yet.  I will definitely be checking this blog out a few times a week.

Thanks so much for sharing!

I just bought a Toyota Venza from Handy [Toyota of St. Albans, VT].  The people there were the most awesome, efficient, down to earth, car sales people I have ever dealt with.  I had a very small window in which to trade and buy because of my work schedule.  They brought the car to me, and the young man that brought it was professional, straightforward and took time to explain everything about the car and synced my phone to the Bluetooth.  I can't say enough about this dealership.  Vermont people caring about their customers.  I'll always deal with them from now on!
