Getting Those Patriotic Juices Flowing

Well folks Memorial Day has come and gone, and to all of you who made it to the St. Albans, VT Memorial Day parade (or whichever you attended in your town and/or county), thank you for showing your support.  As the years have passed since the 9/11 terrorist attack and tragedy in New York City, it seems that things have cooled down in terms of those ever-flowing patriotic tendencies, but it's all…

Toyota Parts on the Rise

Source:  bsmotoring.com, "Indian Parts to Power Toyota and Honda Cars."  May 28, 2011.

Toyota Motor Corporation and Honda Motor Corporation plan to make India a hub for sourcing components of small cars.
Toyota's Etios, the entry-level sedan, made its global debut in India, while Honda will sell its small car, Brio, from October, making India the model's second market after Thailand.

Both want to make these models in other developing countries, too…

Toyota Earns a Number One Spot in a New Way

You can't engage in a Google search that houses the words "Toyota news" without coming up with "something-something #1" in the results category.  And why not?  Toyota's actual sale slogan for this month is "#1 For a Reason," that reason being the number one rated brand in automotive consumer sales in 2010, and Toyota Motors and the vehicles belonging to the namesake constantly earn number one spots for safety, resale value, low cost…

V is for Versatility

Beyond a shadow of a doubt, the Prius is a revolutionary and class-leading car, and I'm not even going to qualify that statement with a "hybrid" tag.  If you must attach the word hybrid to the Prius' class, then my statement changes from "class-leading" to king of the mountain:  since its release over a decade ago, the Toyota Prius has earned numerous awards for all things Toyota--safety, reliability, low cost of ownership, etc…

"OEM Trust"

Beyond a shadow of a doubt, one of the building blocks upon which Toyota Motors' business principle pyramid is built revolves around customer satisfaction, and this isn't just Toyota salesman jargon but rather fact in both print and concept.  Year after year, Toyota customers engage in many rounds of praise in a few different categories including safety, overall car value, the fact that they love the low cost of ownership of their Toyota cars…

Japan Indicates the Prius Family Will be the Next Big Hybrid Hit

With over three million Toyota Prius units sold worldwide including well over a million in Japan and America each, it should really come as no surprise that the next evolution of the vehicle is causing quite a stir in the automotive industry.  This past week, Toyota began pushing the "Priority Registration" campaign of its upcoming 2012 Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid Vehicle (PHV), by which customers who know they want to buy a Prius Plug-in as…

Toyota Vehicles May Get Here Sooner Than Expected

Just moments ago I posted a blog that Tom the Blogmeister Young had written Thursday (when I was off), and in it he mentioned July being the earliest that Toyota models of the most popular variety would arrive.  Well I'm proud to announce that since yesterday that date has been dropped--at least the estimation I should say--to a month sooner:  June.

Due to a combination of the efforts of the North American Toyota
manufacturing facilities and their employees as well as Toyota Motors' own hunt for replacement Toyota part producers, we can see many models come into Handy Toyota…

End of the Derby Roundup

The Kentucky Derby has come and gone and I came out ahead a whole nine bucks.  I guess I have no complaints as my key selections lost and my break even bet won so the plan worked out okay.

The management team here at Handy Toyota continues to work diligently at keeping our Toyota inventory balanced.  A good portion of that will be 2010 Toyota vehicles at some point but it will represent a good deal for the buyer.  The supply of 2011 Toyota's is rapidly diminishing, so if that is your desire act now or consider a wait…

Slow Month for Sales, Not So Much for Rain

It's 7:45 a.m. on this beautiful Friday morning, the sun's shining, and the sky a brilliant blue; what a contrast to the weather we have been experiencing the last several weeks!  I feel so refreshed just to be able to wear a short sleeve shirt and be free of my rain jacket, it's very uplifting.  Hopefully this weekend gives me opportunity to finally get out and do the yard work…

The Derby Is Coming to an End

The future is definitely looking brighter for production of most of the sought after Toyota models.  We should be seeing allocations pick up and arrival times around July.

The Preakness is at hand.  This Saturday should see the Kentucky Derby winner Animal Kingdom dominate a lackluster field, or at least it's certainly the logical choice to win the Derby.

Gas prices appear to have leveled off and are predicted to be down around $3.85 by Memorial Day.  American drivers have reduced consumption by 129 million barrels a month.  A glut of oil is beginning to form.  Hopefully this…
