I'm sure you've all
heard about Stumble Upon (www.stumbleupon.com), a "Social Media" site
that formed from the existence of My Space and Facebook's popularity.
Perhaps less known is the fact that there is 50 or more different Social
Media sites, and being that I'm in charge of all this jazz these days I
need to be up to date.
My
computer was on the fritz recently-well not recently as…
There's an app for...well pretty much everything these days. And now an Internet Radio app on new Toyota models can help you out of a bind. The Japanese auto maker announced it is working with Clear Channel to integrate a mobile app, iheart radio, into some of its vehicles next year.
The iheart app is currently available for iPhone, Blackberry, Android, and Windows Phone 7. It lets you listen to more than 750 Clear Channel stations, mostly from specific cities, with a few genre-oriented stations not tied to a particular market.
Auto Week writer Mark Vaughn had the privilege of touring around Southern California in a Plugin Toyota Prius. His seven week drive around town brought many pleasant surprises to a skeptical alternative fuel driver.
According to Mark, "The first week, Nov. 8-12, it did more of the highly efficient commuter slogging for which it was designed. In that role I found that it almost invariably goes 12 miles per full electric charge before the gasoline engine kicks in and it becomes just another hybrid.
With the passing of Thanksgiving and the season's first snow storm, two things are very evident: skiers and snowboarders are in heaven and the holidays are upon us. I myself, as you know if you read my last blog, am already in anxiety-crunch time wherein I worry I won't be able to do enough for those I care about. You'll also remember that in my blog I realized this year I'm…
Well I'll be honest my friends: I feel like a moron! How stupid am I to claim to have writer's block when all along I had this amazing new feature of the Handy Toyota website to explain? Well anyway at least I remembered I suppose.
Do your children like cars and trucks? Are you a Toyota owner and, like my mother did to me, want me to enjoy the comforts of the Toyota…
Yesterday I broke the news that a supposed 11 new and/or redesigned hybrid vehicles were in the works from Toyota Motors. By 2013, said the source, these 11 hybrids would be readily available and we would likely see many of the Toyota favorite redesigned with the Hybrid Synergy Drive engine as a choice. Apparently that was just the tip of the iceberg.
Today, Toyota went further into explaining their plans for the dominating the…
What is your take on the Toyota Prius? And I don't just mean the new 2010 Toyota Prius IV-I mean any Prius from 1997 until the current edition. Do you appreciate its 50 miles per gallon in the city? Do you appreciate the fact that each Prius owner outputs less greenhouse gas than a "clunker," or perhaps the technology of the Hybrid Synergy Drive engine which takes friction created by necessary acts like braking?
Seven days until Thanksgiving and there's so much to do in preparation for the annual festive meal at our home for all the members of our immediate family. It's a great deal of work but the pleasure we derive from it is immeasurable. Now that we have grandchildren in the mix it makes the holidays a "very" special time of the year. We have two at three years old, Faye and Charlie and…
Just when you thought they couldn't get any better, Toyota has increased the incentives on many vehicles and added others to the list. The 2011 Toyota Tacoma, absent from the incentives list for a long time, is back. If you are on the fence towards buying a new Toyota, it might be time to stop in and sign up.
We're having a big Chamber of Commerce event in the Handy Toyota Showroom tonight…
Every year it's the same thing, and I'm fairly certain about 99% of us do this: gasp when we see holiday commercials on television before Thanksgiving's even on our minds. Nonetheless, the holiday season is upon us, and we at Handy Toyota are trying to do our part to make sure even the less fortunate have a good holiday.
That's why we've signed up with the New England Marine Corps…
