Handy Toyota

As some of you may remember, we looked at Ali Kamal in our very first employee spotlight, way back in May of 2010.  You may remember at the time Ali was a 19-year veteran already at Handy Toyota of St. Albans, VT, and as such his "time served" has increased to a whopping 21 years.

Through those 21 years, Ali has sold so many new Toyota and used cars, met so many different customers, and ultimately made so many friends that we simply had to give you a redux of the great Ali Kamal - and so here it is.

Let's start with what has not changed for Ali in the past year and a half.  For starters, he's still one of the leading Toyota car sales and lease consultants in all of Vermont, selling car after car to the point where we literally cannot keep them on our lot.  In other words if a customer sees a car they like and they see Ali Kamal a second later, don't even hold your breath - that car's gone!  Because Ali has an uncanny knack for finding folks the new Toyota of their dreams, the price they want, and features they crave, and ultimately a grand smile as they drive away.  Don't take my words for it either:  check out Ali's personal DealerRater page by clicking here, which compiles all of the reviews customers have written about him and you'll see that he has a sterling seemingly diamond-esque reputation if you will with the VT and New York new Toyota and used car customers.

As for what has changed - well, let's just say that's as great as the breadth of this man's intellect, language prowess, and customer satisfaction abilities.  Around 10 months ago in December of 2010, Ali went to Morocco to marry his long time sweetheart in a whirlwind marriage ceremony found in the classiest of romance novels or the cheesiest of romantic comedy endings.  Bringing his son along for the festivities was the best thing he said he could have done, because not only did Ali come home a married man with a full family, but he and his son got some quality bonding time - on the beaches of Morocco no less!

This past April, Ali's mother came from Dakar, Senegal, where Ali grew up in Africa, allowing Ali not only to see his mother but show her how he lives today.  As you likely assume, the culture shock for Ali's mother was great, but she enjoyed the time spent with her son, meeting his new wife, seeing her grandchildren (Ali has a young son and a post-college aged daughter), and getting to drink in the lovely Vermont spring weather.

In other familial news, Ali recently found out that his niece is soon to give birth to her second child.  Though obviously overjoyed by this fact (Ali is very close with his family, and the distance between his Vermont residence and his family's Senegalese life only makes that all the more fervent), he is saddened to think he won't be there for his great-niece or great-nephew's birth.  Ali goes on to explain that it has been over six years since last going home to Dakar or even Senegal for that matter, however with the constant grind of the automotive business, his newfound wife, an older daughter and a young man at home, in all honesty he doesn't have much time as it is.
